We are looking to speak to Students, Teachers, Ex Guards and unemployed service industry staff.
In light of the new standard operating procedures, as outlined in the Construction Federation of Ireland guidelines, all construction sites will be required to have a Covid-19 Compliance Officer.
This is a new role where the compliance officers job is to ensure social distancing and Covid-19 compliance rules are maintained throughout the project.
The person undertaking the role must receive training in what the role will entail.
Role of a C-19 Compliance Officer:
- Monitor day to the site activities to ensure social distancing and hygiene rules are being maintained to protect health and reduce the spread of the C-19 virus.
- Ensuring compliance to the 2m social distancing rule and good hygiene is not the sole responsibility of the C-19 Compliance Officer.
- Their role is supported by all site management and workers.
- Site Management must communicate to all on site details of the appointed C-19 Compliance Officer(s).
- A C-19 Compliance Officer must not put themselves at risk while carrying out their duties
- C-19 Compliance Officers must have a structure or framework to follow within the organisation to be effective in preventing the spread.
Key role requirements:
- Previous experience in a management or authoritarian role is desired
- Valid Safe Pass is essential
- Fluent English is essential
- Proficient knowledge of the Construction Industry Federation Covid-19 Pandemic Standard Operating Procedures is essential
