Adults Social Worker (MBLDSW) South London, England

We are looking for a Social Worker to join a community Learning Disability team in South London.
This role requires a Social Work Qualification with a minimum of 3 years post qualified experience.
About the team
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team supporting adults with learning disabilities, contributing to reviews and coordinating person-centred support planning.
- Complete Care Act 2014 assessments, reviews and support plans, ensuring eligible needs are met in the least restrictive way and independence is promoted.
- Undertake mental capacity assessments and best interests decision-making under the Mental Capacity Act 2005, including complex decisions relating to care, residence and finances.
- Extensive joint working with health, providers and families, coordinating packages of support across supported living, residential and community settings.
- Manage safeguarding concerns under Section 42 of the Care Act 2014, applying Making Safeguarding Personal throughout.
- A role suited to a social worker confident in the Care Act, the Mental Capacity Act and DoLS, multi-agency coordination, and person-centred, strengths-based practice.
About you
A degree within Social Work (Degree/DipSW/CQSW) with a minimum of three years experience is essential in order to be considered for this role. Experience within a learning disability or community adults setting is desirable.
