Key Responsibilities

• Deliver Engaging Lessons: As an impactful Geography Teacher, you will plan and deliver stimulating physical and human geography sessions across KS3 and KS4 (GCSE) aligned with the UK National Curriculum.

• Full Curriculum Ownership: Take full responsibility for class preparation, coursework support, ongoing pupil assessment, and GCSE exam preparation.

• Fieldwork & Practical Learning: Lead fieldwork studies and data collection activities, helping students apply theoretical concepts to real-world environments.

• Support All Ability Levels: Differentiate instruction effectively to stretch high achievers while providing structured support for pupils developing core analytical and mapping skills.

• Departmental Support: Work alongside humanities colleagues to refine schemes of work, integrate GIS tools, and support extra-curricular eco-clubs or trips.

Candidate Profile

We are searching for an articulate, creative Geography Teacher with strong subject knowledge and excellent classroom leadership.

• Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS.

• Proven track record of working as a Geography Teacher within a UK secondary school setting.

• Excellent communication skills and a passion for environmental topics, spatial analysis, and sustainability.

• Effective classroom management strategies grounded in positive encouragement and high expectations.

• Holds an Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to process one through Randstad).
