Freight Administrators

My client a large international organisation are looking to increase their logistics staff, they are looking for experienced Freight Administrators to join their logistics team

·      Ayr location

·      Pay £14.42 - £14.80

·      Full time hours (40hrs)

·      Temporary to permanent

·      Good Office Experience

·      Must have Driving Licence, may (may be required to drive company vehicles)

·      Freight Administration advantage

Freight Administrators

Preparing Documents: Create bills of lading (a receipt for shipped items), manifests (list of cargo on a vehicle), and invoices.

·       Tracking Shipments: Use software to trace orders. Provide regular updates to customers.

·       Managing Bookings: Schedule pick-ups and drop-offs with shipping lines and transport companies.

·       Customs Compliance: Prepare and check customs clearance paperwork to follow international shipping rules.

·       Communication: Answer phone calls and emails from clients and drivers to resolve delays

·       Organization: Must handle multiple shipments and paperwork at once.

·       Computer Skills: Comfortable using logistics software, CRMs, and spreadsheets.

·       Communication: Clear and calm talking to drivers and angry customers.

·       Attention to detail: A small mistake in a number can delay an entire truck
