Job Description

As a QA Engineer, you will play a critical role in delivering reliable, high-performing web applications used by global financial institutions. Working within Agile Scrum teams, you will champion quality throughout the software development lifecycle by combining automation, exploratory testing, AI-powered quality engineering, and continuous improvement. Your work will help ensure secure, scalable, and compliant fintech solutions that support mission-critical financial transactions worldwide.

Your Daily Tasks

Feature Delivery

• Collaborate with Scrum teams to understand product requirements and user stories
• Work closely with developers throughout the coding phase
• Develop API and browser-based automation in parallel with feature development

Build and Maintain Automation

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end and integration test suites using TypeScript and Playwright
• Keep automation fast, reliable, and maintainable
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to provide meaningful release gates

Do the Manual Testing That Matters

• Perform exploratory and manual testing for complex, high-risk, and edge-case scenarios
• Validate financial workflows and regulatory-sensitive functionality where human judgment is essential

Use AI Extensively and Responsibly

• Utilize AI tools and AI agents to generate and maintain test plans and automation
• Expand test coverage, triage failures, analyze results, and accelerate day-to-day QA activities
• Critically evaluate AI-generated outputs to ensure quality and accuracy

How Success Is Measured

• Track test case execution accurately
• Achieve strong automation coverage across critical application workflows
• Follow quality engineering best practices
• Develop secure automation code
• Minimize escaped defects
• Promote effective cross-team collaboration
• Demonstrate responsiveness to project and release requirements

The Qualifications We Seek

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
• 3-5 years of experience testing web-based applications using both manual and automated testing
• Experience using AI tools and AI agents to develop test plans, test cases, automation tests, and end-to-end user tests to broaden test coverage
• Experience performing load testing (JMeter preferred)
• Proficiency in API test automation
• Familiarity with Agile team environments
• Understanding of browser compatibility issues
• Proficiency in SQL
• Familiarity with Jira is an advantage
• Experience executing automation tests using Jenkins is an advantage
• Strong communication skills to advocate for quality across engineering, product, and delivery teams
