The Company
Our client is a family run business that specializes in health care packaging.
The Role and responsibilities.
- Working as part of a small sales team to increase sales of the companies packaging machines.
- You will cover the South of the UK generating quotes, hitting targets, prospecting and creating leads.
- The successful candidate will be expected to take complete ownership of the sales process, from beginning to end and will be expected to have a strong engineering background or understanding.
- Hit/exceed annual sales targets set by the board and within allocated territory
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships and expand customer base
- Meet and partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
- Effectively communicate the value proposition via phone, email and face-to-face visits/ presentations
- Prepare quotations, sales proposals and presentations
- Expense control
- Coordinating with marketing on lead generation
- Promoting the organisation and our products
- Attending exhibitions UK or abroad
Requirements
- Proven sales experience in meeting or exceeding targets of £1milion plus
- Proven high closing rate
- Previous experience as a sales executive, sales manager or similar sales and marketing role is ideal
- Ability to drive the sales process from beginning to close
- Natural ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Strong engineering background preferable
- Experience with, or previous exposure to sales KPI’s and strategic sales planning is ideal
- Business or Engineering related experience/ background
