HR Advisor (MAS HR RHU) Egham, England

Salary: GBP28000 - GBP32000 per annum + plus attractive benefits

We are recruiting for an educational establishment based in Egham and they are seeking a HR Advisor to join their HR Operations team.

Salary up to £32,000 per annum plus benefits

The post holder will use their strong human resources knowledge to provide, on a day to day basis, the provision of an effective, proactive operational human resources service for a number of College Schools and Departments providing advice and HR transactional services. 

Based in a School for some of the working period the post holder will provide, advice and support to managers, employees and colleagues on human resources matters ensuring that the advice given is consistent with the rest of HR and compliant with College policies and procedures, good HR practice and legislation. The post holder will help to produce a range of documentation, use College HR systems and provide a wide range of HR advice. The post holder will need to build and maintain strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and work effectively both independently and as part of a team. 

Key tasks include

  • Human resources support and advice

  • To provide managers, employees and workers with advice on the implementation of policies and procedures in accordance with College policies, employment legislation and good HR practice seeking advice and support from HR colleagues and escalating matters as applicable

  • Working with managers to attend meetings, as appropriate, advising on the implementation of human resources matters as set out above

  • To advise managers and employees on employee relations matters escalating to HR colleagues as applicable

  • To advise managers and employees and workers on the full range of HR matters including right to work and vetting and barring requirements relating to employment and oversee appropriate actions ensuring documentation and information is provided to HR in a timely and accurate fashion to allow for submission of certification of sponsorship and vetting and barring applications as appropriate.

  • To grade jobs using the College’s recognised job evaluation systems providing advice and support to managers on preparing documentation

Knowledge, Education, Qualifications and Training

·Educated to Degree level or equivalent

·CIPD qualified to level 5 or above

·Knowledge and understanding of the higher education sector.

·Good working knowledge of key employment legislation and its application
