Our client is expanding and therefore increasing the size of its Payroll team. The current team of three all have over 10 years of experience within the company and they’re ready to pass this knowledge on to you. You will need to be a skilled professional with experience in payroll processing, and someone who understands the importance of collaboration and effective communication.

As the Payroll Officer, your responsibilities will include:

Responsibilities:

• Be part of a team that processes end-to-end payroll on a weekly basis for 3000 employees.
• Collect, verify, and process timesheets, leave requests, and employee attendance data.
• Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and statutory deductions accurately.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, awards, and enterprise agreements.
• Maintain and update employee records in the payroll system (e.g., new hires, terminations, changes to pay details).
• Prepare and reconcile payroll reports for finance and audit purposes.
• Respond to payroll-related queries from employees in a professional and timely manner.

About You

To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:

• 1-2 years of payroll experience.
• Understanding of tax, superannuation, compliance requirements of payroll.
• Strong and effective communicator both written and verbally.
• Someone that is seeking career development and training.
• Ideally experience with Kronos/UKG Pro however this is not essential.
