Senior Backend Developer (144869) Porto, Greater Porto
We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer (Java/Spring Boot) to join the team of our client – a leading company in the technology sector.
What will be your main tasks and responsibilities?
- Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance services using Java and Spring Boot, writing clean, efficient, and well-tested code, following best practices and coding standards;
- Deploy and manage cloud-based applications using Docker and AWS;
- Design and interact effectively with PostgreSQL databases, as well as performing API testing with Postman to ensure reliability and performance;
- Collaborate in an agile team environment, working closely with stakeholders across locations, being able to contribute to code reviews, technical documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What is required from you?
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other similar area is a plus;
- At least 7 years of experience in backend development with Java;
- Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture;
- Solid knowledge of Docker, AWS, and PostgreSQL;
- Previous experience with API testing tools, particularly Postman;
- Familiarity with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban;
- Autonomous, collaborative, and team-oriented with a proactive mindset.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is mandatory.
