Claims Manager

Claims Manager (003) Jubail, Saudi Arabia

We are looking for a Claims Manager with the following details :

Location : Jubail, Saudi Arabia 

Duration : 1 year 

Work Status : Resident, Single

Qualification:

  • Degree qualified with professional contracts and procurement background and prior commercial experience.
  • Refining and petrochemicals technologies.
  • Good oral and written communication abilities and writing skills in English
  • At least 10 to 15 years’ experience in Oil & Gas industries
  • Experience within project:
  • Experience in projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia / Middle East.
  • Experience in EPCC phase of large project.
  • Experience in negotiating contracts on behalf of operators, contractors, suppliers and consultants
  • An ability to liaise at all organizational levels and represent the Project on contract related matters
  • Experience with multinational and multicultural task force team environment.
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental aspects of major construction projects.
  • Ability to adapt to changes and to work in an international multi-cultural project environment, to cope in a positive and productive manner within intensive environment. Interpersonal skills, rigor and analytical mind.
  • Ability to work as a member of a project Team, to liaise, coordinate and positively communicate with the involved different Parties (Contractors, project Entities, auditors, other disciplines representatives, experts, project people, PMT EPCC packages, etc.).

The service holder is in charge:

  • Ensure that all contractual claims, change orders and potential disputes related to Package 1 are identified, assessed and managed in compliance with the Contract, Project procedures and Company rules, with the objective to protect Project interests, limit cost and schedule impacts and avoid escalation.
  • Define, implement and maintain the Claims Management strategy for Package 1.
  • Anticipate, analyze and mitigate contractual and claims-related risks
  • Support the Package 1 Management Team in all claims and change-related matters
  • Ensure consistent contractual positioning and a one-voice approach towards the Contractor

ACTIVITIES

  • Claims & Change Management
  • Establish and maintain claims, change orders and dispute registers for Package 1
  • Review and challenge Contractors’ claim (entitlement, substantiation, time & cost impacts)
  • Coordinate claim defense strategies and support negotiations
  • Contractual & Project Interface
  • Coordinate with Package 1 Contract Advisors, Package Manager, Project Control and Planning teams
  • Inform Project Control of any claim impacting Package 1 cost and schedule forecasts
