Terminal HSE Coach

Terminal HSE Coach (HSE) Qatar

We are looking for a Terminal HSE Coach for one of our Clients : 

Location : Offshore Qatar

Work Status : Rotation, 28 days ON and 28 days OFF 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Education:

  • High School Diploma / Technical certificate in Discipline minimum 10 years Oil & Gas, Petrochemical/ refining industry experience or
  • Bachelors of Science in any Engineering field or equivalent and 5-10 years Oil & Gas, Petrochemical/ refining industry

Industry Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in HSE/Terminal operation with a proven track record in the delivery of business objectives
  • Experience in Export and Marine O&G operations

  • Contribute to establishing and maintaining a strong safety culture
  • Execute safe work processes and comply with relevant health, safety (occupational & process) and environmental excellence procedures and controls within area of responsibility to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance and a responsible environmental attitude
  • Promote cost consciousness in order to embed a strong cost culture
  • Thorough understanding and application of O&G Terminal safety guidelines and procedures and bridging with maritime area (IMO, OCIMF, MTMSA….)
  • Ability to set and assist in the implementation of operational objectives, drive performance and foster a performance culture
  • Effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills and strong influencing skills
  • Advanced understanding of process control, production systems and offshore terminal operations
  • Ability to support work with large teams in a complex and multicultural environment
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Computer literate

Certifications:

  • Health & Industrial Hygiene.
  • Basic Cause Tree Analysis.
  • Basic Firefighting.
  • Oil Spill Principles and Management Level 1.
  • TBOSIET
  • H2S
  • Fitness for Work (offshore) Certificate

All staff must be willing to participate in crisis response training and to assist during emergency response situations if required

 

ACTIVITIES

  • Coach and support STS’s for ensuring compliance with COMPANY HSE standards along with contractor’s crew
  • Execute daily activities as directed by the Discipline Supervisor
  • Contributing to the development and review of all risk assessments to ensure that hazards have been identified, adequate mitigations are in place and risk has been reduced to ALARP
  • Assist the Discipline Supervisor in critical situations
  • Supervise routine activities to ensure they are undertaken safely and in accordance with COMPANY company procedures / guidelines
  • Provide input into planning meetings as instructed by the Discipline Supervisor
  • Participate on the Control of Work program and assist for PTW preparation as instructed by STS
  • If requested by the Discipline Supervisor, coordinate logistics, maintenance of equipment to ensure normal operation
  • Provide daily reports to Supervisor on health, safety and environmental issues related to area of work; take corrective action wherever necessary
  • Participate in COMPANY’s Training Matrix and help create a learning environment
  • Proactively take responsibility for self-progression by keeping abreast with latest developments, knowledge, and innovations
  • Represent COMPANY appropriately and in accordance with code of ethics when interfacing with internal and external stakeholders
  • Promote COMPANY core values by being a safety role model, showing trust, respect and commitment, fostering collaboration across the organization
  • Review periodically standards and procedures
  • Ensure application and organized drills associated to Terminal Incident Response Plans and Oil Spill Management
