Senior Contracts Procurement Lead Engineer (3/3/2026) Muscat, Oman
We are looking for a Senior Contracts Procurement Lead Engineer for one of our clients with the following details:
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 12 months (renewable)
Location: Muscat, Oman
Service Status: Resident (5 days per week)
Preferably, locals or expat in Oman
Qualification and Experience required:
- Master’s degree in procurement discipline or other equivalent.
- Language requirements: Excellent knowledge of written, read, and spoken English (required).
- Arabic appreciated.
Professional Experience:
- Relevant successful experience in managing Maintenance, Inspection and Logistics contracts in an operational O&G environment
- Relevant experience in C&P Team Management
- 10 to 15 years’ experience in purchasing and contracts, preferably in O&G industry.
Service Purpose:
- The Senior Lead C&P Engineer is part of the team for the LNG Bunkering Project, a key initiative within OQEP and COMPANY transition strategy.
- In this critical role, he/she will oversee and manage Contracts & Procurement activities to ensure objectives are met safely and efficiently.
- As a key member of the operations team, he/she will report directly to the Operations Manager.
- The Senior Lead C&P Engineer ensures that complex and numerous Operations Dept contracts are executed efficiently, competitively, and in full compliance with technical, commercial, and safety requirements during commissioning, startup and production phase of the LNG Project.
- The job holder drives contracting strategies, leads tendering processes and commercial & contractual negotiations, manages supplier performance, and mitigates commercial and supply chain risks to safeguard project value.
- He/She acts as a key interface between technical teams, suppliers, and leadership to secure high-quality services and materials while upholding governance, transparency, and operational excellence.
- He/She will be a major actor for ensuring the readiness of all resources through a proper and efficient management of the Contracts & Procurement process, chain risks to safeguard project value.
