Material Controller - Offshore (Material) Qatar

We are looking for a Material Controller - Offshore 

Location : OFFSHORE - Qatar

Duration : January 2023 - December 2023

Work Status : Rotation 28 days ON and 28 days OFF. 7 days a week

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in any engineering discipline.
  • Professional experience of at least 8 years post graduation with at least 8-10 years in Materials / Logistics management OFFSHORE
  • Wide experience of Computerized Stock and Procurement management systems.
  • Familiar with PALM (COMPANY designation of SAP tool implementation project), RLM, PM and MM modules
  • Fluent in English. Good interpersonal and communication skills

ACTIVITIES

  • Ensure that the HSE rules and COMPANY procedures are implemented in its activities.
  • Produce offshore material inventory and status report for per E &C projects & update on daily basis with any progress.
  • Act as focal point with different personnel from onshore for complete logistics process from shipment to backload
  • Link with Project Engineers, Construction Coordinators, warehouse teams, Offshore Reps.
  • Anticipate any shortage, delay issues for offshore deliveries by taking acts with any actors on the transverse flow
  • Advise onshore teams when delivering material and re-enforce the coordination for delivery.
  • Follow up and tracking of goods receipt offshore.
  • Receive materials, physically verify materials, and post goods receipt in SAP
  • Verify material status and condition against the detailed packing list and shipment
  • Responsible for safely storing and track materials for projects
  • Single point of interface with QC, PEs and onshore material controllers for material tracking offshore
  • Manage the process from shipment to delivery for all E&C projects
  • Create returns document based on the feedback from supervisors related to excess materials per project
  • Coordinate with logistics backload team for materials return and onshore action with material controllers & PEs onshore
  • Manage tools & consumables inventory offshore for E&C
  • Dispatch of materials for projects
  • Tracking of rental equipments & tools offshore
  • Tracking the expiry and validity of certificates for tools & equipments
  • Prepare storage plans for site readiness and material placement
  • Assistance to the projects teams’ daily & weekly coordination meetings.
  • Carry out any other duty that may be assigned from time to time by his line management
