Field Operations Operations Safety & Risk Management (Safety) Doha, Qatar

We are looking for a Field Operations Operations Safety & Risk Management for one of our Clients :

Duration : 12 Months 

Location : Doha, Qatar 

Work Status : Resident, Onshore - Single 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Qualifications: Chartered Process Engineer, Degree in Chemical Engineering (Masters preferred)
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years experience in Oil & Gas Activities
  • Knowledge of offshore design standards and processes
  • Familiar with Total/Shell/QP standards an advantage
  • Good working knowledge of international standards
  • Must be computer literate and comfortable with working quickly using Office Suite of software (including MS Powerpoint, Excel, Word). Must be capable of analysis work using excel
  • Familiarity with in-house software tools such as SYNERGI, PALM [SAP] Sciforma and eVision
  • Must be detailed orientated but capable of presenting complex issues in a simple, concise manner to management
  • Must be able to work under time pressure and self-prioritize according to situations that occur in Field
  • Operations, on an hourly/daily/weekly basis
  • Must demonstrate leadership, provide direction (where necessary) and have very good written and verbal communication skills (English).
  • Must be able to work on tasks and projects in a complex and multicultural GCC environment
  • Must be able to liaise with personnel ranging from operators up to the company board, presenting information and in a manner that is appropriate for that level.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience of working on Al Shaheen assets.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with minimum 5 years’ experience of working in the Middle East
  • Fluency in English is a mandatory requirement.

ACTIVITIES

  • Support Operational and Process Safety Lead to screen and validate any proposed changes to Plant (Asset) to ensure the Operating Integrity of existing barriers are not challenged
  • Support Operational and Process Safety Lead for all process safety/technical safety/operational safety queries/investigations/plant modifications
  • Provide process safety/operational safety input for impact assessments, for all Class 1/2 plant modifications
  • Provide input to Enterprise Risk Management Team for issues that may present a risk to the business
  • Support understanding of 4Ps and business drivers for Plant Changes via MoC process for proposed Class 1/2 plant changes
  • Support writing of SORs for Operational Risks which require a change to plant
  • Support Risk & Modification Lead in reviewing DGSs arising from the Asset and update N+1 for issues/trends that may require intervention or further investigation
  • Support Risk & Modification Lead in ensuring that the appropriate level of interface management is applied against existing DGS Risks and approved Modifications and corrective actions (RFCs/RFMs/WOs) are maturing.
  • Support N+1 in providing impact assessments of any changes proposed/SRAs before they are introduced as an operational risk and/or validated as a change to FOPS
  • Provide support to N+1/N+2 by providing essential information for decision making in support of any operational/process safety risk affecting FOPS in a timely manner
  • Support and promote process safety culture, via campaigns started by N+1/N+2
  • Review and support HSE/IMR for issues relating to existing barriers (SECE/DGS) via technical forums
  • Review and support other entities as requested by N+1/N+2
