SITE SURVEY COORDINATOR

SITE SURVEY COORDINATOR (Site) Basrah, Iraq

We are looking for a SITE SURVEY COORDINATOR for one of our Clients : 

Location : IRAQ (Basrah area / camp base)

Duration : 9 months

Start Dare : Feb 2022

Work Status : 4 weeks ON / 4 weeks OFF or 2 weeks ON / 2 weeks OFF 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Degree: Engineer (or equivalent formal qualification) in a recognized Engineering discipline
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in Oil &Gas Industry with similar large-scale projects & environment
  • Management of technical surveys and operations in Oil and Gas Industry, knowledge in geotechnical survey is appreciated.
  • Management of contracts: Planning, Cost estimates and Cost control and Coordination with internal staff and contractors, HSE Performance Management,
  • Technical support for environmental permitting
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural business environment.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • English as mother tongue or Fluent in English (speaking and writing).

ACTIVITIES

  • Integrate all local permitting activities (ESIA, Societal, Land acquisition, …) And associated planning related to Iraqi development project and assist the COMPANY Project management in any decision relating to planning issues.
  • Provide assistance for the coordination of the survey logistics (site access permit, personnel and equipment transportation, etc...),
  • Provide technical support to operations as the contact point with worksite and COMPANY Project entity
  • Realize a follow up and update the site survey planning execution to feed the general planning of the Project,
  • Issue weekly/monthly progress reports in order to control operations progress, and costs when required.

In particular:

  • To ensure with COMPANY Project entity that approvals of partners (SGC) and governmental authorities have been obtained in all matters related to the surveys execution,
  • To ensure with COMPANY Project entity that required permitting are in place prior to site survey contractor mobilization,
  • To ensure with COMPANY Project entity that site preparation and community awareness’s have been performed prior to site access,
  • To provide technical support and coordination in relation with COMPANY Project entity, if requested, for the pre-mobilization phase including the kick-off meeting,
  • To ensure with COMPANY HSE Project entity that Emergency Response Plan, Risk Assessment are in place prior to survey contractor’s mobilization and are followed during the surveys.
  • To ensure with COMPANY security entity that Security mitigation measures are in place prior to survey contractor’s mobilization and are followed during the surveys,
  • To investigate on potential optimization of site surveys logistics and interfaces when relevant (mutualization of means, resources...),
  • To ensure that the planned activities are in compliance with COMPANY regulations & procedures and contracts requirements,
  • To assist in the monitoring and control of the site survey contractor’s HSE, Societal and local content performances,
  • To execute the first site QC on the results of contractors in his domain of competence (i.e. geotechnics if geotechnician),
  • To timely report to Project Director, highlighting progress, opportunities and encountered areas of concern,
  • To gather “Lessons Learnt” related to scheduling, progress control, reporting matters and provide feedback to the GMP team, partners & COMPANY organization as required,
  • To adopt and demonstrate exemplary behaviour with regard H3SE and H3SE rules implementation,
  • To adopt and demonstrate exemplary behaviour with regard to Ethics and project “code of conduct” policy,
  • To participate to meetings with partners, authorities and other stakeholders as required,
  • To carry out any other duties or tasks that may be required by the position
