Position : Senior Reservoir Engineer, Kharaib RMO
Location : Doha, Qatar
Tentative Mobilization date : 20 February 2023
Duration : 12 Months
Work Status : Resident, Single - ONSHORE
Working Hours: Standard office hours, 5 days a week
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead identifying and prioritizing reservoir surveillance plans, and ensure close follow-up
- Lead opportunities identification, ranking and maturation (Workovers, Stimulation, ..etc) until FID for Deep Redrills, workovers and other opportunities
- Support light workovers maturation (tubing change-out) until final SOR
- Maintain and close follow-up of opportunities hopper
- Support WAG cycles optimization, execution and follow-up
- Support the maturation of Surfactant pilots, execution and follow-up
- Contribute to the generation of the yearly reservoir management plans and ensure their execution
- Consolidate and present the reservoir quarterly Reservoir Management reviews to SH’s
- Perform decline curve analysis and generate the monthly unconstrained profiles for the rolling forecast
- Define completion strategies for re-drill and WO wells supported by simulation studies
- Support the New Well Delivery team all along the WO’s SOR process
- Identification, planning and close follow-up the reservoir surveillance plans for Kharaib reservoir
- Identification and follow-up of reservoir management activities to maximize production, voidage replacement improvement, and reduce the production decline rates
- Perform simulation using ALSFFM and special studies related to well performance improvement
- Use of IX and 4D Seismic to identify optimum zonal shifting and injection to increase sweep efficiency
- Use of segmented well modelling (IX) both in ALSFFM and Single Well Models to optimize and design Kharaib re-drill wells
- Opportunities identification and maturation to FID (RD Workovers, Tubing Change-outs, Integrity WO, Stimulation...) for production and injection improvements
- Timely generation of monthly unconstrained profiles for short term production forecast (Rolling Forecast)
- New wells and work-overs post-mortem synthesis
- Wells & Well Patterns reviews
- WAG cycles optimization, execution, and follow-up
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience within a subsurface organization
- Minimum requirement of a Bachelor’s degree, and preferably Master’s degree (in RE / PE subject)
- Experience with Intersect (IX), Eclipse, Petrel, EST & dynamic modelling workflows
Experience, skills and attributes:
- In-depth understanding of Reservoir Management and surveillance processes
- Proven track record of maximising value in complex carbonate fields
- Reservoir and geoscience working experience in an operated asset
- Strong experience on reservoir dynamic modeling (Eclipse/IX) and model history matching
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Detail oriented with bias to action
- Ability to collaborate and influence across multidisciplinary teams and entities
- Ability to influence business decision making
- Strong networking skills externally and internally
