AutoCAD Draughtsperson – Mechanical

6-12 month contract

Newcastle upon Tyne - NE12

Working hours – 7am to 5pm Monday – Friday (37.5 hours -flexible start times)

Pay rate - £15.00 per hour

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Design Team Lead, the position will create and revise assembly BioProcess Containers drawings using AutoCAD Mechanical. A Drafter will also be required to create cost files, work on projects assigned by department leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

•           Support a global design queue.

•           Use SFDC to handle department design review workflow.

•           Use PDM Enterprise for managing revision control of all drawings and apply search features to support finalizing compositions when needed.

•           Use MasterControl (Quality Management System) to generate new info card numbers, manage personal training tasks and review information to facilitate design completion as

needed.

•           Use AutoCAD Mechanical to build simple to sophisticated BioProcess Container product drawings using predesigned blocks or manually create and test block geometry as the design requires per existing guidelines.

•           Generate cost files for completed designs using LISP commands within AutoCAD Mechanical.

•           Communicate effectively and proactively determine next steps with Design Engineers and Commercial colleagues to aid in the on-time completion of design requests.

•           Attend meetings that review department KPIs and maintain an understanding of personal metrics.

•           Conduct a thorough self-check to ensure drawing accuracy.

•           Proactively participate in the company's continuous improvement programs taking the lead on assigned projects
