Aviation Training Center Manager - West Africa

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced candidate to join our organization as an Aviation Training Center Manager. This position requires in-depth knowledge of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and EASA regulations and standards, as well as the ability to establish and manage an aviation training center.

Responsibilities:

  1. Establish and Manage Aviation Training Center:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive business plan for the aviation training center, including goals, strategies, and operational guidelines.
    • Identify suitable facilities and resources required for the training center and oversee the setup and maintenance of the infrastructure.
    • Develop training programs in compliance with ICAO and IATA regulations, ensuring that they meet industry standards and best practices.
    • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure the availability of qualified instructors, training materials, and necessary equipment.
    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary improvements to enhance the learning experience.
  2. Compliance with ICAO, IATA & EASA Regulations:
    • Stay updated with the latest ICAO, IATA & EASA regulations, standards, and recommended practices related to aviation training.
    • Ensure that all training programs and procedures comply with the established regulations and standards.
    • Maintain records and documentation related to training activities, ensuring they are accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible for audits and inspections.
  3. Training Program Development and Delivery:
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts, industry professionals, and instructional designers to develop comprehensive and effective training programs.
    • Oversee the delivery of training programs, including classroom instruction, simulations, practical exercises, and assessments.
    • Continuously evaluate the training curriculum and materials, making necessary updates to reflect changes in regulations, technology, and industry best practices.
  4. Staff Management and Development:
    • Recruit, train, and manage a team of qualified instructors and support staff for the training center.
    • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to instructors, fostering a positive learning environment and ensuring high-quality training delivery.
    • Conduct performance evaluations, identify training needs, and facilitate professional development opportunities for staff members.
  5. Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Establish and maintain relationships with aviation industry stakeholders, such as airlines, regulatory authorities, and training organizations.
    • Collaborate with external partners to explore partnership opportunities, joint training initiatives, and knowledge sharing activities.
    • Represent the organization at industry conferences, workshops, and seminars, presenting on relevant topics and promoting the training center's services.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Aeronautical Science, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred.
  • Extensive experience in aviation training and education, with a strong understanding of ICAO, IATA & EASA regulations and standards.
  • Preferrable cabin crew training experience
  • Proven track record in establishing and managing aviation training centers or similar educational institutions.
  • Excellent knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning methodologies, and training evaluation techniques.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to changing industry trends and regulations.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and technology used in aviation training.
  • Language spoken English & French.
