This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll Team Leader to join a high-performing team and take ownership of payroll operations for a large, diverse workforce.
About the Role
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you’ll lead a small team to deliver accurate and timely payroll services across the organisation. Your hands-on expertise and leadership will ensure compliance, efficiency, and continuous improvement in payroll processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the payroll team to deliver end-to-end payroll processing
- Oversee superannuation, tax, and compliance reporting
- Provide guidance on Awards, EBAs, and payroll legislation
- Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve complex payroll queries
- Drive process improvements and ensure data integrity across payroll systems
- Mentor team members and foster a collaborative, high-performing culture
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience leading or mentoring within a payroll team
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end payroll processing in a high-volume environment
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Confident communicator, able to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Experience with large or complex payroll environments highly regarded
