They are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join their collaborative payroll team. This role would suit someone who thrives in a high-volume, end-to-end payroll environment and enjoys working as part of a close-knit team.

About the Role


Drawing on your payroll expertise, you will be responsible for:

  • Processing end-to-end payroll accurately and on time
  • Maintaining and updating employee records within the payroll system
  • Ensuring payroll compliance with relevant legislation, Awards, taxation requirements and organisational policies
  • Processing payroll adjustments, terminations, leave payments and other manual calculations
  • Responding to payroll enquiries and providing exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders
  • Assisting with payroll reconciliations, reporting and month-end activities
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and identifying opportunities to enhance payroll processes

Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years' experience in a similar end-to-end payroll position
  • Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance
  • High level of accuracy with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience interpreting Awards and Enterprise Agreements is highly regarded
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business
  • Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
