We are currently working with an outstanding college in the Scarborough area who are looking to recruit an English Lecturer on a casual basis. If you are currently an experienced Lead English Teacher in a secondary school, or have experience teaching Functional Skills at various levels to GCSE level, this could be the perfect role for you! The ideal Casual English Tutor will have a strong background in teaching English and have experience in supporting students to achieve their English GCSE/A Level, to further able them for their prospects. In this role you will teach English, providing learners with dynamic and engaging lessons. This role is great to see how learners develop throughout the duration of the course, you will be held accountable for all elements of teaching including tutorials and high grades.
Key Responsibilities for the role of Casual English Tutor:
- Creating effective schemes of work
- Delivering exceptional teaching and learning, ensuring students are provided with a positive experience whilst engaging on this course
- Responsible for maintaining appropriate and accurate records and evidence of learner progress throughout the length of the course
The qualities and qualifications you must possess in order to be considered for the position of Casual English Lecturer:
- A Level 4 or higher qualification in English
- The skills, experience, and knowledge to deliver the English programmes including functional skills and GCSE
- Enthusiasm and patience to pass on your skills and knowledge to others
- A UK recognised teaching qualification
- DBS on the update service

The hourly rate for this role Is: £23 - £27
