Castle Education are very excited to be seeking an experienced Student Success Coach to work within an Outstanding FE Provider within the Scarborough and North Yorkshire Location.

The College provides an excellent environment for learning and development and has some excellent services and resources to support both staff and students alike.

The Success Coach post is offering part-time hours (0.5), which would provide support to students to enhance learner experience and attainment. The Success Coach position will be suitable for an individual who is able to drive change, build open and honest relationships, and be able to effectively problem-solve. In order to maximise the impact of the role a passionate, fun, and informative environment must be promoted, and listening will be a key skill.

Essential duties and responsibilities include;

• Providing support to students from enrolment through the whole learner journey to the successful completion of their programmes of study.
• Building effective relationships with students, staff, and support services alike.
• Advising and providing support and guidance with students by phone, email, text, and arranging meetings face to face.
• Focussing on outreach and retention efforts to maintain engagement and success for all students.
• Working closely with staff and parents or guardians and relevant external agencies.
• Resolving problems by clarifying issues through researching and exploring answers and finding alternate solutions.
• Implementing solutions and escalating unresolved problems that affect learning and progression.
• Tracking student progress and provide career advice where relevant.
• Identifying at-risk students and determine potential issues and connect them to tutoring and/or correct any existing issues.
• Delivering workshops online on topics such as the LGBTQ+ Community and Mental Health Awareness

The Salary for this Role is: £16,000 - £20,000
