Castle Education are seeking a Lead Learning Practitioner to join an outstanding college in Scarborough, on a fixed-term contract offering part-time hours of 15 per week. This is an exciting and rewarding role for support practitioners or learning support assistants looking for an opportunity to develop into a more senior post, previous experience of leading a team of learning practitioners is advantageous.

As Lead Learning Practitioner you are to coordinate the delivery of student support for students identified with additional learning needs, including those with Education Health and Care Plans. The Institution are looking for a “Team Player” to work alongside the Lead LSP. You are to ideally have past experience of working with Individuals who have a range of difficulties learning.

The role of Lead Learning Practitioner Involves:

• Coordinating timetables
• Reviewing Students Progress with parents and/or Carers
• Leading a team of learning support practitioners

The Qualities and Qualifications you are to possess:

• Previous support experience, assisting those who have learning difficulties
• The skills, experience, and knowledge to deliver a support programme, enabling those who struggle to learn
• Enthusiasm and patience to pass on your skills and knowledge to others
• The UK recognised teaching qualification
• DBS on the update service

The wage for this role is: £20,250 pro rata.
