Contact Castle Education today as we have an exciting opportunity for an Online English Specialist to support a local Education Provider through these hard times. The role of Online English Tutor will give flexibility and the opportunity to work from home and still earn.

As a qualified English teacher or an experienced English tutor, the role would be best suited to you especially if you have extensive experience of GCSE’s, A Level English or Functional skills.

The Online English tutor role will be used to support students who have been identified to require some additional tuition or need extra support. You may also cover revision sessions or even deliver key curriculum. You are likely to work with smaller groups or one to one, but you may cover large cohorts when required. You will also be responsible for tracking pupils progress throughout their tuition. This is a rewarding role where you will have the opportunity to have a real impact on pupils’ development and learning.

 Key skills required to be a successful supply teacher include:

• Commitment to working with pupils of different backgrounds and different levels of ability.
• Enthusiasm for the subjects you teach - proven specialism in English at KS3 and 4 and 5
• Flexibility - things can happen unexpectedly on the online classrooms/schools and you need to be able to cope with the pace
• The ability to manage classes and deal with challenging behaviour
• Patience and understanding
• To be able to use your own initiative
• Good organisational and time-management skills
• Tact and sensitivity
• Qualification in a relevant subject specialism
• Good innovative use of IT to promote learning

 You must possess the following: -

> Relevant Teaching degree with recent classroom experience

> OR recent experience within a classroom for Non-qualified cover supervisors

> A DBS on the update service, or willing to gain one through Castle.
