Are you a youth club leader? i.e Brownies, Boy Scouts or are you part of a children’s group like a martial arts instructor? - Do you have experience supervising and managing children? Are you looking for something different, challenging and engaging?

Castle Education are currently seeking Cover Supervisors for exciting opportunities. We are looking for Cover supervisors that are based around the areas of Scarborough, Whitby, Bridlington and Malton who are available for daily bookings or longer-term placements. Cover supervisors provide day to day cover for different, pre-planned lessons, in the absence of the regular teacher. An ability to deliver lessons of a variety of different subjects at Key stage 3 and 4 and the ability to manage group behaviour effectively are must-haves.

The role of cover supervisor would be suitable for anyone with experience of managing behavioural levels within a group environment, perfect for scout leaders, or after school actives coordinators, as the role involves supervisor and there may be children with challenging behaviour so you would need to be confident in your ability to manage and control noise levels ensuring the level of learning is still obtained.

I would be keen to speak with people with the following qualities: -

> Experience of working within classrooms, preferably within a secondary school environment

> A Good level of education with a minimum of a grades C in English and Maths (or Level 2 equivalent) 

> A current DBS on the update service (or must be willing to gain one)

> Flexibility and adaptability to work within different environments and covering different subjects, often at short notice

> The ability to manage behaviour within a group

> Good work ethic and a sense of humour!
