ASP.NET Core Architect (Remote or paid relocation to Madison, WI)
I am seeking a high-level architect for an opening with one of our most rewarding and flexible clients. They are looking for a highly skilled architect to primarily build platforms, services, and API’s C# and ASP.NET Core Web API.
An individual that possesses leadership skills, is willing to mentor junior developers (not direct reports), and can take the lead and drive projects is highly preferential. Additionally, familiarity and experience with monolithic, microservices, and distributed architectures are also a significant plus.
Compensation is very flexible for talented individuals and salary will range from 120k – 160k annually with a very competitive benefits package and work-life balance. They will consider compensation higher than 160k, but expectations will become steep.
This position will be fully remote and can sit anywhere in the US. Additionally, if on-site or partial on-site presence is preferred, the client will pay for relocation.
The interview process will consist of an initial phone screen, a panel interview, and then a side-by-side technical interview with screen sharing and coding.
Responsibilities
- Build platforms, services, and APIs that are used by other products (primarily in C# and ASP.NET Core Web API).
- Work with leading open source projects like .NET Core, RabbitMQ, ElasticSearch, Docker, and more.
- Provide architectural expertise and help implement ASP.NET Core application best practices
- Stay up to date on developments in the field through technical papers, conferences, and targeted learning. Share what you learn internally with your peers.
- Develop automated processes and tools for building, testing, and deploying code.
- Work directly with product management, customers, and stakeholders to refine and breakdown product requirements.
- Become well versed in the OT (Operational Technology) industry as it applies to application development.
Qualifications
- Strong programming skills in C#, .Net Core, and ASP.NET Core Web API
- Experience researching, migrating or implementing different database and event queuing solutions
- Product-driven software development experience.
- Understanding of modern software engineering practices like agile project management, CI/CD and test automation.
- Technical leadership, ability to lead a project/feature end-to-end, and mentor junior engineers.
- Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
