A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Design Engineer  to join a UK known civil engineer manufacturer in the Somerset Area!

With no day ever being the same the Design Engineer role offering long term progression and career development.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Carrying out surveys and producing reports
• Working knowledge of structural timber, steel and stainless steel
• Ability to deal with new proposals and provide fee proposals for quotation purposes
• To use AutoCAD and produce drawings and sketches by hand understanding and a real desire to work
• Understanding and desire to work on projects where the aim is to provide ecologically worthy and energy efficient buildings

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Good knowledge of buildings from sustainable to ordinary buildings
• Required of an experienced structural engineer who is competent in the design of all of the regularly-used construction materials and building forms
