Production Operative — Fish Processing (Production Line)
Location, rate & hours
- Grimsby
- Rate: £12.71 per hour
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 06:00–15:00
Summary
- General production-line role in a fish-processing facility. Carry out assigned tasks to support throughput, quality and food-safety compliance. On-the-job training provided.
Key duties
- Perform tasks such as packing, weighing, portioning, tray filling and simple machine tending.
- Monitor product quality and remove/reject non-conforming items.
- Maintain line speed and assist with changeovers as required.
- Follow HACCP, hygiene, traceability and PPE procedures.
- Clean and sanitise work area during and at end of shift.
- Complete basic production records (counts, checks).
Requirements
- Previous food production experience advantageous but not essential; training available.
- Comfortable working in chilled conditions and standing for the full shift.
- Basic numeracy and attention to detail.
- Team player with good reliability and timekeeping.
- Right to work in the UK.
Working conditions & safety
- Cold, humid environment typical of fish processing.
- Repetitive tasks; PPE required and provided.
- Strict adherence to safety and hygiene procedures.
