Our client are a leading Groundworks and Civil Engineering Business based in Manchester who are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to head up the Commercials for their Traffic manageme business. The company are going through an exciting period of investment and growth and are looking for an ambitious SQS who has the skills and commitment to grow with the business and lead the Commercial Team
Role Overview
- Provide Leadership and Commercial Development
- CVR Management and Preparation
- Stakeholder engagement in relation to Procurement Strategy;
- Preparing Subcontract documents, including bills of quantities;
- Review contract conditions, identify risks , mitigation and opportunity and negotiate amendments to documentation with Subcontractors and Clients;
- Procurement of Subcontractors;
- Commercial support in relation to costs and risk management for tenders;
- Change Management Control
- Management of Contractual Disputes and Claims
- Final Account Production and Agreement
- Provide Commercial Governance and Process
- Stakeholder engagement with management Peers and Directors
- Validation and Approval of Subcontract Application for Payments
- Commercial Audit – Actual Cost / Job Costing
- Attendance of Site meetings with Clients and Subcontractors
- Production of Commercial reports and Key Metrics
- Commercial Contract Obligations – Payment Mechanism , Risk Meetings , Early Warnings etc…
