Application Support Engineer (ABSDEP05) Henley-In-Arden, England

We are looking for an experienced application support engineer to join our Live Services team, with a primary focus on analysing and identifying the root cause of non-functional issues and working with our development teams to implement the necessary improvements. Also proactively monitoring performance and capacity, and identifying opportunities to improve service reliability, stability, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work as part of Live Services team
- Troubleshooting functional and performance issues in production and development environments, helping feedback into improved design, implementation, and process as appropriate
- Conducting delivery of software releases
- Maintaining and improving our server, application and browser monitoring and logging systems
Skills and experience:
- Deep experience of supporting .NET Core applications in production environment, including key configuration and deployment choices (e.g. Kestrel, in-process)
- Deep experience of supporting IIS middleware in production environment, including key configuration and deployment choices
- Supporting web applications, REST API and scheduled services
- Experience of supporting Microsoft “full stack” application technologies, e.g. C#, TypeScript, Angular JS, Angular, CSS, HTML, Entity Framework, MVC
- Experience of managing and performance tuning SQL database server nice to have, but this is not prime focus of role
- Good familiarity with Windows server administration
- Experience with Azure DevOps nice to have
- Using New Relic or similar product to monitor dashboard and alert on key system and application events.
