Commercial Manager (ABSCM4) Leeds, England

Salary: GBP70000 - GBP70000 per annum + + car allowance

 

ABS Commercial are a Professional Services Business who work across Utilities, Highways, Rail and Construction. We supply Skilled interims and offer project support to Tier1 and Tier 2 contractors.

Specialities include: Change Control, Financial Modelling, Tender Support, Contract Disputes, Commercial Audits, Claims, Final Accounts.

Due to our continued growth we are looking for a Commercial Manager to help manage commercial contracts and build relationships with key clients.

Thje role offers flexibilty and will be a mixture of homeworking and travel to cliennt sites. 

Role Overview

  • Manage the Commercial team and reporting structure
  • Understand and implement the contractual requirements of all contracts and projects
  • Understanding of NEC and JCT contract forms
  • Raising of Early Warnings / Variations
  • Pre contract support - Bids, Tenders, Estimating 
  • Preparation of the weekly profit and loss forecast.
  • Drive value through commercial processes and implementation of contractual requirements
  • Produce the monthly application to the client so that they are produced on time
  • Preparation of cost information to support month end reporting
  • Preparation of cost allocation to support application for payments
  • Assist in the production of the back up to the monthly commercial reports produced in accordance with the company's commercial policy
  • Attend and add value to the monthly client meetings
  • Assist in the preparation of sub-contract documentation where applicable
  • Assist in the accurate measurement of direct and sub-contractors works
  • Ensure records are kept of sub-contractors work and validate the legitimacy of any account records provided by the sub-contractor
  • Assist in the compilation of specific sub-contractor liabilities and accruals.
  • Carry out your procurement duties in accordance with the commercial policy
  • Keep accurate records of site activities undertaken and events

Person Spec / Experience

  • Relevant Degree Educated Ideally
  • Must have extensive experience of NEC3/4 across the suite / options  also JCT would be helpful
  • Contract Formation and Risk Analysis
  • Change Management / Variation Control
  • Power , Gas , Water , Rail , FM , Highways or Telecoms – specific for Kings
  • Dispute Resolution
  • Some Procurement knowledge – Regulated and Non-Regulated
  • Examples of People Management / Team Building
  • CVR / Cost to Complete
  • Bid Support
  • Risk Management
