Role Description
Our client are a leading civil engineering business, private equity backed and going through an exciting period of growth. They are looking for an Estimator reporting directly into the Head of Civils, who be responsible for preparing accurate quotations and estimates for civil engineering projects ranging in value and complexity. They specialise in working within congested, city centre environments on complex engineering projects. Typical projects include S278 works, deep drainage connections and hard landscaping packages.

Core Responsibilities
- Reviewing and assessing enquiries ensuring all tender documents are received and are correct.
- Attending pre-tender site meetings.
- Preparing subcontract and supplier enquiries and provide recommendations based on tender returns.
- Preparation of competitive tender prices for opportunities, including all takes-offs and pricing.
- Identifying value engineering opportunities and prices to accompany our tender submissions.
- Compiling offer letters, tender schedules, programmes and other items required within enquiry for submission to client.
- Coordinating internal tender price review meetings.
- Attending post tender client meetings.
- Data analysis, forecasting and budgeting.
- Input into weekly and month end commercial & financial reports.
- Assisting in the implementation of operational health & safety
