Senior Full Stack Developer – Henley-In-Arden
Due to continued growth, our client is currently seeking Software Developers to join their team based in Henley-In-Arden. Positions are available for Mid-Level, and Senior Software Developers. The company provides Software Solutions to the Utilities sector, specialising in Telecoms. It is important that the successful candidate has previous experience or knowledge of the following:
- Understand product history of ASP.NET Core, ASP.NET Core MVC, Entity Framework Core, differences between major versions
- Thorough understanding of .NET Core, .NET Framework, .NET Standard, and implications of targeting each
- Have deep experience of deploying ASP.NET Core applications to IIS, understanding in-process vs out-process, integration, application pools, what Kestrel is
- Experience and skill in designing ASP.NET Core applications for multi-node deployments, including Session Management, Cookie encryption keys
- Experience and skill at performance tuning ASP.NET Core applications in production environments, including identifying bottlenecks and addressing issues using data sources such as log aggregators and APM tools
- Deep experience of performance tuning data access in ASP.NET Core, including connection pools, deadlocks, expensive operations
- Experience of performance tuning Microsoft SQL queries in SSMS, including adding indexes, restructuring queries
- Experience integrating with APM tools such as New Relic or Data Dog an advantage
- Experience using enterprise logging libraries such as Log4net or NLog an advantage
- Experience migrating applications from .NET Framework to .NET Core an advantage Experience of automated load testing tools an advantage
Skills/Qualifications the successful candidate will need:
- A Bachelor’s degree (in Computer Science or equivalent)
- Knowledge on the Utilities Industry (Desirable but not essential)
- Advanced skills using Excel/Microsoft
- Self-confidence, flexibility and a result driven attitude
- Ability to work in a small, fast paced environment
