Packaging Associate

East Grinstead (RH19)

£13.20 per hour

Monday–Friday 9:15am–5:30pm (7.5 hrs/day)

6-month contract

Gi Group are recruiting on behalf of a global life sciences company providing products and services used across scientific research, healthcare and industrial laboratories. We’re looking for a Packaging Associate to join their team based in East Grinstead (RH19) on a 6-month assignment.

This is a hands-on, production-focused role within a controlled environment. Lifting and carrying moderate weights is an integral part of this position, so you’ll need to be physically fit and comfortable with manual tasks.

Packaging Associate Working hours & breaks:

• Monday to Friday
• 9:15am–5:30pm (includes breaks)
• 2 x 15-minute paid breaks
• 1 x 45-minute unpaid lunch break

Packaging Associate Key responsibilities:

• Feeding plates into the line
• Checking plates produced on the line
• Loading plates onto trays ready for drying
• Packing dried plates into foil pouches
• Boxing pouched plates into sales units
• Assembly, bagging and/or packing of accessory products as required
• Reconciliation of batch numbers
• Manufacture of ID seals
• General cleaning duties in the controlled clean area and packing room areas

• Efficient, reliable team player who can build solid working relationships
• Positive and productive communicator
• Excellent attention to detail, including accurate document updates/record-keeping
• Strong understanding of the importance of processes and following procedures

Packaging Associate experience:

• Manual handling
• High attention to detail
• GMP experience (highly desirable)
• Physically fit / comfortable with active work
