Gi Group is recruiting on behalf of our client, a global life sciences company providing products and services used in scientific research, healthcare, and industrial laboratories. We are looking to recruit a Production Operative – Cleanroom Packing (Nights) to join their team based in Swindon (SN3) on a 6-month contract.

This position supports manual packing operations within a cleanroom environment. You will help maintain cleanroom standards, handle materials, complete equipment-related tasks and ensure accurate documentation in line with cGMP and regulatory procedures. You’ll work closely with a team that values performance, quality and innovation.

 

Production Operative – Cleanroom Packing Shift & pay

  • Night shift: Mon–Fri 23:00–07:00
  • Pay: £13.86 per hour + 33% shift allowance
  • Hours: 37.5 per week
  • Contract: 6 months
  • Location: Swindon SN3

Production Operative – Cleanroom Packing Key responsibilities

  • Follow area SOPs for correct manual packing of product-filled vials.
  • Follow SOPs for correct gowning and cleaning of the packing area.
  • Support materials handling procedures, including transferring materials into the packing area.
  • Ensure production stocks are maintained and in date for operation.
  • Cleaning and maintenance of area/equipment to SOPs, cGMP, and pharmaceutical regulatory standards.
  • Carry out line end run-off activities including packaging, labelling, and in-process weight checks.
  • Escalate any non-conformances to the Area Leader/Manager/Quality Assurance to ensure issues are investigated and resolved.
  • Complete all documentation accurately in line with Data Integrity principles, SOPs and training.

 

Production Operative – Cleanroom Packing Skills & experience

  • GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English
  • Ability to maintain high concentration over extended periods
  • Basic understanding of GMP / GDP / Data Integrity
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency
  • Self-driven, reliable, and able to follow procedures precisely
  • Preferred Experience in pharmaceutical, food, or other regulated production environments
