Gi Group is recruiting on behalf of our client for an Operations Agent to join a busy Service Centre team in Basildon, Essex (SS14). This is a temporary ongoing opportunity offering stable part-time hours.

As an Operations Agent, you will be the face of the Service Centre and the first point of contact for frontline queries. You’ll deliver excellent customer service to both internal teams and external visitors, ensuring customer-facing activities are completed to the required standards. You will also cover reception duties when required.

Operations Agent Pay & Hours:

• Pay: £13.02 per hour
• Hours: 20 hours per week
• Shift: Monday to Friday, 16:00 – 20:00
• Location: Basildon, Essex, SS14

Operations Agent Key Responsibilities:

• Provide a professional, customer-focused front-of-house service at the Service Centre
• Respond to frontline customer queries efficiently and accurately
• Welcome and support internal and external visitors, ensuring they are handled appropriately
• Maintain high service standards and support a positive customer experience
• Work calmly under pressure, taking ownership to resolve issues and prevent repeat problems
• Support operational processes with strong attention to detail and “right first time” delivery

Operations Agent Experience (Preferred/Ideal):

• Administrative experience (preferred)
• Experience/knowledge of the express logistics field
• 2–3 years’ operational processing experience (ideal)

Compliance Requirements:

Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be able to provide:

• 5 years’ reference history (work and/or education)
• A DBS check (required)
