Gi Group are working on behalf of our client, a global leader in microbiology and diagnostic solutions, to recruit Packaging Operators for their site in Horsham RH12.

These roles sit within the Microbiology Division (MBD) of the Specialty Diagnostics Group, supporting the manufacture of microbiological diagnostic products used to detect infectious diseases and bacterial contamination. Your work will directly contribute to public health and safety.

• Hourly rate: £13.20
• Hours: 37.5 per week
• Shift: Monday–Friday, 14:00–22:15
• Contract length: 3 months
• Full training in a clean, controlled manufacturing environment

Packaging Operators Key Responsibilities

• Feed and check plates on the dispensing line
• Load plates onto trays for drying
• Pack dried plates into foil pouches and box into sales units
• Assemble, bag and pack accessory products
• Reconcile batch numbers, manufacture ID seals and complete documentation
• General cleaning duties in controlled clean and packing areas

Packaging Operators Attributes:

• High School / Secondary Education or equivalent
• No previous experience required; manufacturing or lab experience desirable
• Ideally experienced in cGMP environments
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
• Team player with good communication skills
• Able to work in 2 °C–8 °C conditions and lift moderate weights
