Service Technician

Location: Hertfordshire

A leading technology manufacturer is seeking a Service Technician to join its Service Centre team. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, calibrating, cleaning, fault-finding, and repairing specialist fusion splicer equipment, ensuring repairs are completed to the highest quality standards while achieving productivity and efficiency targets.

Key Responsibilities as a Service Technician

• Calibrate, service, clean, and repair specialist fusion splicer products.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on a range of electro-mechanical equipment.
• Meet agreed repair quality and efficiency targets.
• Record service and repair information accurately using the company ERP system.
• Follow company quality, health and safety, and service procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment.

Candidate Requirements as a Service Technician

• Previous experience servicing or repairing small electro-mechanical devices requiring precision handling.
• Strong practical aptitude and fault-finding skills.
• Experience working with electro-mechanical and/or opto-electronic technologies.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Competent using Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
