I am currently working with a highly regarded regional law firm that is looking to appoint a Commercial, Technology, Intellectual Property and Data Protection Solicitor to join its growing practice.
This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with 3-5 years' PQE seeking high-quality, varied work across commercial contracts, technology, intellectual property and data protection matters. The role offers exposure to an impressive client base ranging from innovative start-ups and scale-up businesses to established national and international organisations.
The Opportunity
Joining a collaborative and growing team, you will advise clients on a broad range of commercial and technology-driven matters while developing strong client relationships and sector expertise.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Advising clients on commercial contracts, technology agreements, intellectual property matters and data protection issues.
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial and technology-related documentation.
- Managing your own matters while supporting senior colleagues on larger and more complex projects.
- Providing pragmatic, commercially focused advice tailored to clients' objectives.
- Building and maintaining long-term client relationships and becoming a trusted adviser.
- Working closely with colleagues across offices and practice groups to deliver seamless client service.
- Supporting business development activities, networking initiatives, seminars and marketing campaigns.
- Developing expertise in key industry sectors and identifying opportunities to add value to clients.
- Contributing to knowledge sharing and maintaining high professional and regulatory standards.
Candidate Profile
This opportunity would suit a commercially minded solicitor who enjoys working across a broad range of commercial and technology-related matters.
The successful candidate is likely to have:
- Between 3 and 5 years' PQE.
- Experience in commercial contracts, technology, intellectual property, data protection or a combination of these disciplines.
- Strong drafting, negotiation and technical legal skills.
- Commercial awareness and an ability to provide practical, solution-focused advice.
- Excellent client relationship and communication skills.
- A proactive and organised approach to managing matters and deadlines.
- An interest in business development and building a personal profile in the market.
- A collaborative mindset and desire to contribute to a growing team.
