Second Chef (JN -052025-62703) Carlisle, England
Salary: | GBP30000 - GBP45000 per annum + Option for accommodation |
Stafforce Carlisle have partnered exclusively with a reputable hotel and wedding venue in the beautiful Eden Valley to assist in their search for a Second Chef. Having worked with a small, select group of kitchen staff who have all remained in post for lengthy tenures, the management team are keen to find an individual who will truly become ingrained in their business, and who deeply cares about their work. In exchange for this attitude, they are willing to work to your requirements, being open on experience level, salary expectation and with the added opportunity to live on-site if required.
Being a family run establishment, the hotel has grown through many years, cementing itself as a stalwart of local hospitality. Food has always been central to their offering, and therefore you will have a good knowledge of traditional British cuisine, with the flair and creativity to develop dishes and bespoke menus in your own style, supported by a dedicated and experienced wider kitchen team.
Although you will be required to work to the demands of the changing schedule and service timings, you will be given the flexibility to structure much of your time to suit your needs. The successful candidate will eventually be required to deputise for the Head Chef, and as such you will have experience managing a small team of workers, and have the skillset to oversee a busy kitchen operation.
Due to the location of the hotel, if choosing not to live on-site it would be beneficial to have a car and a valid driving licence. If choosing to live in the available on-site accommodation, the management are willing to allow you to live with a partner if required, and would also be happy to discuss secondary opportunities within the business for them.
If you are interested in exploring this opportunity, and think you could bring a well-developed skillset and have the required passion and love for your work, then please reach out today for an informal discussion.
