About the opportunity
Develop policy positions which allow medical device companies to manufacture and supply safe, effective, and cost-effective medical devices to the community. The focus of the role is on industry and reimbursement policy development.
Duties
- This role will involve policy development and policy analysis: including research and drafting policy position statements within the healthcare environment at varying levels including industry development, regulatory, reimbursement, and market access.
- External and internal stakeholder engagement; including members and government
- Provide secretariat support to the committee
- Participation on committees or advisory boards
Skills and Experience
- Tertiary degree in Health Economics, Public Policy, or relevant scientific degree
- 3 years’ experience in industry working within a policy role in healthcare or medical devices
- Understanding of the government decision making process
- Ability to produce high quality policy documents
- Experience in conducting research and compiling data
- Experience in stakeholder engagement
- Experience in policy analysis and development
- Experience within the medical device or government sector
