The Facility/Equipment Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring all production equipment is functioning at its optimal performance and making sure the facility itself is safe and maintained.
Responsibilities:
• Perform all work in a safe manner following company policies and OSHA regulations (example: Hot works permit, LOTO, confined space). • Create equipment and building preventative maintenance program/procedures.
• Perform daily/weekly/monthly preventative maintenance checks per the preventative maintenance procedures.
• Ensure daily reliable operation of the facility and production’s support equipment (example: forklifts, air compressors, jib cranes, wash tanks).
• Troubleshoot and identify corrective action for electrical systems and mechanical equipment.
• Safety operate hand tools and power tools.
• Electrical/Appliance repairs and installation: lighting, wiring, circuit breakers, switches and others. Perform electrical repairs up to 3 phase 480 volts.
• Plumbing: repairs, replacement parts, installation (sinks, toilets, faucets, hot water heaters).
• Painting: drywall repairs, painting.
• Carpentry: repair and install doors, shelves, counter tops, installation of office cubicles.
• Aid in setting up monthly, quarterly, and yearly service agreements for specialized equipment (HVAC, air compressors).Other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Requirements and Skills:
• Three to five years’ experience in facility and equipment maintenance.
• Two to five years’ experience in machine troubleshooting and repair.
• Preferred electrical and plumbing certifications.
• Three to five year’s working as a mechanical technician within a manufacturing environment.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Able to read drawings and schematics.
