Senior Maintenance Tech 3rd Shift (BBBH7137) Hudson, Ohio

Salary: USD30.75 - USD30.75 per hour

 

Well Known Company seeking Experience Maintenance Technician

 

Essential Functions / Responsibilities

Ø Leadership

o Foster/Build teamwork between shifts and other departments

o Improve employee skills through the development of a training program

o Follow up to ensure all work is completed correctly and in a timely manner

o Monitor and maintain 5S standards (fixed locations, cleanliness, etc.)

o Maintain organization of Maintenance Department Area and any other area where work is in progress

o Practice good management principles and adhere to established best practices in directing, reviewing, disciplining and motivating employees

Ø Technical

o Ability to perform work requiring knowledge of electrical: wiring specifications, local and national electrical codes, principles of operation and application of electronic equipment as required

o Ability to upgrade machine controls is required

o Ability to program PLC’s is required (Automation Direct and Allen Bradley)

o Ability to troubleshoot, program and replace AC variable speed drives is required

o Ability to service manufacturing and test equipment by checking, testing and replacing faulty components

o Ability to service and repair hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical and electrical equipment

o Ability to service and repair HVAC systems

o Strong mechanical aptitude and welding experience required

Ø Safety

o Work closely with Maintenance Supervisor to develop new and improve existing safety practices

o Engage employees to drive further safety enhancements/improvements

o Insure safe working practices are followed

Minimum Qualifications:

Ø Minimum of 3-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing background

Ø Extensive knowledge of electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical systems

Ø Must be able to read and understand mechanical and electrical schematics

Ø Must be able to troubleshoot machine controls and PLC’s

Ø Must be able to program PLC’s

Ø Must be able to Mig, Arc and Tig weld

Ø Must be able to lift, push or move a minimum of 60 pounds

Ø Good math skills

Ø Towmotor license, or able to secure license within 2 weeks

Ø Must be a self-starter (not requiring constant direction or follow-up) and are capable problem-solvers

Ø Must demonstrate positive leadership and the ability to train others

Ø Must have basic computer skills; use of MS Office Products

Ø Flexibility with regard to work schedule as this role may require early arrival and late departure above and beyond “normal” shift times

Ø Must have good communication skills on all levels

Ø Must be able to work with outside vendors

Ø Must be able to manage/prioritize multiple projects/daily issues simultaneously

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Ø Minimum of 1-2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment

Ø Facility Maintenance experience
