Head of IT Development (150681) Porto, Greater Porto

We are looking for a Head of IT Development to join the team of our client – a reference company in the banking sector. 

 

What will be your main tasks and responsibilities?

  • Participate in the creation of a new technological hub within the Group, supporting the definition of roadmap and priorities, as well as the definition of work methodologies and best practices;
  • Coordinate internal and external technical teams mostly focused in software development.

 

What is required from you?

  • Degree in Computer Engineering, Network and Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems or other similar areas;
  • Previous and solid experience in software development areas, focusing on web and mobile architectures, of which minimum 03 years of experience are in team leadership roles; 
  • Previous experience in the financial industry will be valued; 
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Java, C, and .NET. 
  • Knowledgeable in framKeworks, including Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Node.js, React.js, and Bootstrap, among others. 
  • Experience with both relational and non-relational databases, as well as in discussing system architectures and implementing API platforms; 
  • Familiarity with microservices architectures and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes); 
  • Understanding of DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, application security and cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud);. 
  • Infrastructure knowledge, including servers, networks, and Linux/Windows operating systems;
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies, and in using tools such as Jira and Confluence;
  • Deep knowledge of work methodologies and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, evidencing ability to foster a positive and collaborative work environment;
  • Strong results orientation and goal achievement, being effective time management and task prioritization;
  • Quick adaptability to change and new challenges and competencies on conflict mediation and resolution skills.
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
