THE FIRM:

Our client is an established law firm with a client base both in the private and the public services sector.


THE ROLE:

A new role has arisen for a contract employment lawyer to work on a six month contract basis advising employer organisations on both contentious and non-contentious matters across a broad range of industry sectors.

These will include health and social care (both NHS and independent providers), higher education, housing, local and central government and the broader private sector.

Your caseload will include internal disciplinary /grievance/capability processes, reviewing policies and procedures and contracts, advising on equalities obligations, conduct of and/or support on Employment Tribunals, advising on  TUPE processes including inputting into drafting of commercial agreements and delivering training on a broad range of employment issues.


THE CANDIDATE:

Available at short notice, the successful candidate will have 3PQE + as an employment lawyer with a significant track record gained from a City or national law firm.

Your experience will include dealing with a broad range of contentious and non- contentious employment including TUPE/corporate support and some exposure to advocacy. 

A background of advising employers in the health and social care market would be a distinct advantage. 

A client focussed approach to work and excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
