Security Architecture Engineer

Prestigious London based client is looking for an accomplished and hands on Security Engineer to be responsible for the security element of onPrem and cloud based new and evolving global engineering solutions, product roadmaps and standards. Delivering Infrastructure Engineering solutions to the business and technology functions. A key objective of this role will be to work with Engineering, Architecture teams, Security, Risk and Compliance functions, understanding corporate requirements for the solutions that enable the business to meet their objectives in a compliant manner.

Essential

• Previous experience in a Security Engineering role
• Azure Security / Office 365 Security/ O365
• Good security and general knowledge of Azure cloud and onPrem security methods
• Strong knowledge in Windows and Active Directory Security, Firewalls, WAFs, NGFWs etc
• A good understanding of networking is essential: Internet, Intranet, DMZ, Data Centre, MAN / WAN, VPN’s, Wireless, Remote Access strategies, SIEM, IPS & IDS, Encryption Security Technologies primarily running on Cisco hardware, etc.
• OWASP
• Authentication
• A strong understanding of PKI/ Identification / IAM / Privileged Access Management
• Knowledge of the Azure platform and associated Cloud based security protocols and controls
• Industry recognised Security Qualifications e.g. CISSP or equivalent
• Experience with Engineering designs i.e. HLD / LLD
• Encryption, different algorithms, types of encryption etc
• Understanding: SIEM, SoC, DLP, CASB, Red team+, Firewalls (from an Eng Perspective)
• Network stack / Network Security / Network Security Devices
• Network Protocols that pertain to security subjects
• Network Host solutions i.e. what might you use to secure a host device e.g. Server
• The modern security perimeter / Security Controls / Baseline Security / Directory Security inc AD
• Understanding the mindset of an intruder and methods commonly used
• Ability to produce concise and well written documentation
