Systems Engineer – PYATS/Ansible
Prestigious Technology Partner is looking for an accomplished Systems Engineer with solid networking and automation skills to support on a data expansion project. This team automates network devices and the majority of this role will be testing in PYATS, which is an internal tool. Previous PYATS experience desirable, alternatively Ansible will also be acceptable. This role is inside IR35 and you will be required to use an umbrella.
• Mixed skills between networking and automation and automation testing
• Testing with PYATS /automation testing with networking
• Identify areas for automation. These may be in the initial bootstrapping of network devices, deploying configuration, change management
• Transfer knowledge of implemented systems and processes by creating internal documentation
• Implement acceptance testing plans.
• Automated testing / Chaos engineering planning and execution
• Recommend and initiate projects to benefit other teams automation efforts
• Data center deployments – large scale, rapid deployments Desired
• Zero touch provisioning – such as Cisco DCNM, POAP Desired
• Automated network acceptance testing – pyATS, Genie, Xpresso, chaos monkey testing Desired
• Automated network configuration – Ansible, NSO Desired
• Automated deployment methods – GitOps, Pipelines, Jenkins Desired
• Cisco data center technologies - UCS, ACI, Nexus, Fabric Interconnects Desired
• Network Programmability skillsets in Software Defined Networking (SDN) - REST APIs, NETCONF, YANG, JSON, and XML. Desired
• Routing Protocols - OSPF, ISIS, MBGP, IBGP, PBR, BFD. Desired
