Our client is seeking a passionate Cafe Assistant Manager for their popular and busy cafe. They are New Zealand’s largest locally owned and operated cafe franchise with over 60 cafes though out New Zealand.  

They offer a short order menu, from breakfast / brunch menu to the preparation and presentation of wholesome cabinet food. We use only the freshest of ingredients, local, free-range, and organic where possible. 

About the Role:

Reporting directly to the Cafe Manager, you will be responsible for working on the floor as a Barista and supervising the efficient and smooth running of the cafe alongside the Cafe Manager on a day-to-day basis.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 5 years Barista experience
  • A food handling certificate or equivalent.
  • You will be organised and methodical in your approach to the job
  • The ability to see the big picture and direct staff accordingly.
  • Excellent communication skills and being a people person is essential.
  • The ability to learn new skills.

This is a full-time position, 40 hours with one weekend day to be worked, flexibility to cover additional hours is a requirement.
