Job Description
We are seeking experienced Perioperative Registered Nurses for short term locum contracts across regional Queensland, including locations such as Mackay, Hervey Bay, Kingaroy and Stanthorpe.
These opportunities are suited to confident perioperative all rounders with experience across multiple areas of the theatre department, including Anaesthetics, Recovery and Scrub/Scout. You will be responsible for delivering high quality patient care within a supportive multidisciplinary theatre team while adapting to the needs of regional facilities.
Successful candidates must be flexible and willing to support the broader hospital team, with some locations requiring ward redeployment during theatre down days. Ability to work rostered shifts, including potential on call requirements, is essential.
Previous iEMR training and experience is highly desirable at some locations.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' recent perioperative nursing experience.
- Experience across more than two areas of the theatre department.
- Current AHPRA registration with no restrictions.
- Australian working rights.
- Up to date vaccination compliance and mandatory competency requirements.
- Current Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) reference.
- Ability to work rostered shifts and participate in on call requirements where applicable.
- iEMR training and experience preferred.
