Servoca resourcing is a recruitment organisation that specialises in placing people in to temporary and permanent roles within the criminal justice system.
We are currently seeking candidates for a pilot project coming up soon in the North West; one location confirmed so far is Manchester. We are seeking people who have either have a background in criminal rehabilitation or the probation service; this will be for a 3 month running contract in the North West of England. The areas in question would be North West England and Greater Manchester. The role could possibly include remote working, and would be covering Bolton CC, Blackpool, Blackburn, Preston, Wirral. Looking at covering Bolton CC, Blackpool, Blackburn, Preston, Wirral.
The role will be based in both court and prison, in order to provide alternatives to people who are put on remand whilst awaiting or currently going through a trial.
Your duties will be:
- Check the overnight court list for all potential bail cases who are appearing from custody
- Within prisons, BIOs should target those refused bail at the first hearing
- Interview the defendant and gathering sufficient information in order to prepare a bail assessment report
- Refer offender to services, particularly bail support schemes
- Complete necessary risk assessments
- Deliver reports either orally or via written report to court
A current DBS processed through ourselves will be required for these roles, unless you have a DBS on the Update Service.
